Aircraft Transporting Pete Hegseth Forced to Touch Down in UK Because of Fracture in Windshield

A plane carrying the US defense secretary was forced to make an emergency landing in the UK on Wednesday due to a fissure was identified in the aircraft's cockpit window, according to an announcement which stated that the secretary was unharmed.

"The jet landed in accordance with standard protocol and all individuals on the flight, including Secretary Hegseth, is secure," a press officer commented in a online announcement.

Hegseth was returning from a brief trip to the Belgian capital when the incident occurred.

This incident is not the initial instance that a American defense plane ferrying a high-ranking official has experienced mechanical issues.

Earlier this year, a American military jet ferrying Marco Rubio to the German city of Munich was required to turn back to the US capital after suffering a mechanical fault.
