Performer Refutes Anti-Vax Position Following Lending His Voice To Disputed Coronavirus Feature

The acclaimed actor has given his voice to a new documentary that casts doubt on the safety of vaccinations and lauds former government figure the political figure.

The Feature's Disputed Origins

Called "Plague of Corruption," the documentary is inspired by a popular book co-authored by a controversial scientist, who became famous during the global outbreak for claims that the illness was linked to a bad strain of the flu vaccine.

Her co-author, Kent Heckenlively, has also written books with controversial media personality a known commentator. Heckenlively took to social media celebrating Neeson's participation in the documentary.

A Strong Denial

Representatives for Neeson have provided a statement firmly refuting suggestions that he subscribes to anti-vaccine sentiments.

"Many recognize that misconduct can exist within the medical sector, but that should never be equated to opposition to vaccines," the response reads. "Neeson never has been, and cannot be described as, anti-vax. His long work with the global charity reinforces his consistent support for worldwide vaccination initiatives."

It noted that the actor did not shape the film's narrative and that concerns about its content ought to go to the creators.

Central Claims In the Documentary

As presented, the narration provided by Neeson makes several provocative claims:

  • It states that pro-immunization voices have demanded "complete compliance" to government bodies.
  • It argues that "medical science has become deeply politicised."
  • Kennedy is interviewed claiming, "The major issue with vaccines is that they simply are not properly vetted."
  • It also criticizes Covid lockdowns, arguing they caused severe distress that resulted in thousands of lives.
  • Regarding pandemic shots, it references a view that they were "rushed to market" and seen as "dangerous experiments."

Previous Context and Recent Issues

The film also references a 2004 BBC documentary about clinical trials on children, which was afterwards the subject of a correction by the corporation for unbalanced reporting.

In recent weeks, the political figure called on the Centers for Disease Control to change its long-held position that there is no link between immunizations and autism spectrum disorder. This assertion is echoed in the documentary, even with a fresh analysis from the WHO reiterating no connection has been found.

A Previous Position of Advocacy

Standing in contrast to the film's message, Neeson has formerly shown firm endorsement for vaccines in his position as a charity ambassador.

Previously, he described vaccines as "an incredible achievement," noting that "The conversation about vaccines in recent years has lost sight of how much good they have done... It is perhaps one of the biggest shared accomplishments in our history."

The documentary concludes with Neeson's voice saying, "This isn't the finish of our narrative. It is the beginning of a different phase."
